Multi-Point to Point Contact Closure Relay 4-Channel 5-Amp
MIRWR45$571.00

Multi-Point to Point Contact Closure
The MIRWR45 boards contact closure inputs in multiple locations control relays in a single location. The sender boards are equipped with contact closure input, used to control relays on the receiver board. Four relays are installed on the Receiver Board and up to eight remote locations can be added to control the relays.MIRWR45 The Ideal Choice
The relays on the receiver board can be used to interrupt the power of a device you are switching and also as a dry contact closure output.  The MIRWR45 is designed for applications where multiple locations may need to trigger a single relay wirelessly. The boards are married together using the serial numbers of the radios Installed. Multiple sets will not interfere with each other.

Wireless Range
MirW boards operate reliably and efficiently when the antennas can “see“ each other. Obstructions like walls, buildings and even trees and hills can diminish the signal or prevent communication altogether. Metal being the worst for any wireless signal to penetrate with stone and brick and being a close second. Positioning the antennas for line-of-site operation will greatly increase reliability.
Contact Closure From Multiple Locations
The MIRWR45 can have up to eight remote locations that can all control the relays on the receiver board. All Sender boards will have one contact closure input and any location can toggle the relay on or off. Contact closure inputs such as buttons, switches or other electronic devices (no voltage) attached to inputs on the sender boards will control the relays on the receiver board. The Sender boards have an input while the Receiver board has the relay. When the dry contact (no voltage) circuit on the Sender boards is closed the relay on a Receiver board is energized and will remain energized until the dry contact circuit opens on any of the sender boards. Communication between the Sender boards and Receiver board is Wireless. Pricing shown on our web site indicates pricing for two contact closure sender boards and one receiver board. More sender boards can be added at checkout up to 8 locations.Remote Sender Locations
The remote locations (sender boards) communicate wirelessly from up to eight different locations. These locations will have to be in range of the receiver board. The receiver board will receive a command from one of the the sender boards when a contact closure input is tripped to control the relay from different locations. Additional remote locations can be added at a later date but all married boards in the system will need to be sent back for configuration.XBee-PRO 900 RF Module

Standard Range Antenna
The 900HP Standard Range Antenna (distance of 2 miles) is included with the price of the boards. The included antennas are a 6" whip antenna with an RP-SMA threaded connection. The antenna will screw directly onto the wireless module. NCD has tested this device at 2 Miles with excellent results using smaller antennas than what would be required to achieve the 28-Mile range achieved by the manufacturer. All range tests are conducted in clear line-of-sight installations. It is not possible for us to accurately predict range prior to purchase. We cannot predict range inside buildings, using google map images, or predict interference that may be present at your location that would prohibit proper operation.Extension Cable
An extension cable can be used position the antenna if needed. The cable should be no longer than 20' (6 m) to prevent signal loss. The antenna uses an RP-SMA connection or Reverse Polarity SMA connector.Line-Of-Site Operation

Multiple MirW Sets
Multiple sets of the MirW boardss can be used within range of each other. The boards are married together using the serial numbers of the wireless modules installed, meaning multiple pairs will not interfere with each other! Please note: When there are large numbers of devices using the same channels, there will be interference that can cause dropped communications. There are ways to combat this interference, there are a few things that can be done. Contact us if you are quoting a large job for more information.Who’s Qualified to Use the MirW Series?
Anyone! The MirW Series Controllers are very consumer-friendly devices that are married together through software and only require some wiring by the end user. Whether an electronics engineer or a home hobbyist, almost anyone is qualified to use the MirW Series controllers.Dry Contact Input ONLY
Please Note: Users must NEVER apply any voltage to the inputs on any of the MirW Sender Boards, these inputs are for Dry Contact (no voltage) Connections ONLY.
MirW Relay
We have looked at the interface and the MirW Concept now let's take a look at the board design itself. These controllers allow you to trigger a relay simply by using a contact closure (no voltage). All relays are electronically latched, depending on the contact closure input that you are using you can momentarily keep the relay on or use an Alternate Action Switch can trigger relay on then off. The relay on the receiver boards can also be used as a contact closure input in applications that require a contact closure trigger point. Fully tested before they leave the production facility each MirW pair is ready to stand up to rigorous demands from heat, cold or vibration. The best test of all is the numerous boards in the field from customers all over the world in all sorts of conditions. Take it from us, these controllers will hold up!Contact Closure Inputs
The inputs on these boards accept a dry contact only - no voltage. Users must never apply any voltage to an input on any of the MirW Sender Boards.Relay Outputs
Relays do NOT provide a voltage output and can be used as a dry contact. They provide a contact closure output and simply interrupt the power to the device you are switching. The relays are rated for 240 VAC or 24 VDC. See the Data Sheets tab above for the specs on relays installed.SPDT Relay Installed
